Roger Bole is a painter that explores the urban environment and delights the viewer with the unexpected. Since moving to Chicago in 1990, Roger’s artwork depicts the diversity of the city and places the viewer inside each painting.

Born and raised in Detroit, Roger’s passion for the city and human drama is a natural evolution. A former set designer and scenic artist for the theatre, Roger’s credits include work for Detroit’s “best” legitimate theatre, the Attic Theatre and Chicago’s Steppenwolf Theatre. Other projects include key scenic artist for the James Earl Jones movie “Excessive Force,” Robert De Niro’s movie, “Mad Dog in Glory,” “Baby’s Day Out,” “Home Alone II,” “Hoffa,” “Rookie of the Year,” and “The Babe.”

Roger has exhibited in Detroit and his artwork is currently on view at The Fine Arts Building Gallery, 410 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago and Viridian Gallery, 530 W. 25th Street #407, New York City.
